Former WWE star Umaga (Edward Fatu), 36, is hospitalized in Houston and in what was described as life threatening condition by a long-time friend.
Details are sketchy at this point but he apparently fell asleep last night while watching television, and several hours later, his wife found him not breathing with blood coming out of his nose and he was rushed to the hospital.
According to a report, Umaga is rumored to be passed away. Former WWE stars Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson, Bobby Lashley and Pope D'Angelo Dinero (Elijah Burke) have all tweeted today concerning the breaking news of Umaga being hospitalized. Although we have not received direct confirmation of Umaga's death, the tweet posted by Lashley seems to imply that the former WWE star is in fact dead. Below are the wrestler's tweets:
Bobby Lashley: "Very sad day today. A good friend is gone."
About 3 hours after posting the the above Tweet, Bobby Lashley then posted "Say a prayer for Umaga."
Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson: "Say a prayer for my boy Umaga"
D'Angelo Dinero (aka Elijah Burke): "Pope was informed many hours ago of my friend Umaga. Pope will not comment until the family speaks, neither should you. Prayer is key! ~ PHS"
WWE will likely post a statement on WWE.com once information is released from Umaga's family.
Umaga was released from his WWE contract in June after failing WWE's Wellness Policy for the second time. It is predicted that prescription pills are the cause of his sudden hospitalisation.

Former WWE Superstar Umaga, real name Edward Fatu, passed away on Friday at the age of 36.
Known to fans as "The Samoan Bulldozer" Umaga spent several hours on a life support machine after reportedly suffering a heart attack.
The tragic news was announced on WWE's website, which stated: "WWE would like to express its deepest condolences to Mr. Fatu's family, friends and fans on his tragic passing. Mr. Fatu was under contract with WWE at various time periods and most recently performed under the name "Umaga." Mr. Fatu's contract was terminated on June 11, 2009."
Fatu, who left WWE in June of this year, had just finished working the Hulkamania tour in Australia in the last week. He was released by WWE after a second violation of WWE's Wellness Policy when he refused to enter rehabilitation.
During his time with WWE, Umaga had worn the Intercontinental Championship bellt and headlined the high profile Battle of the Billionaires match at Wrestlemania 23
